I wrote a stage adaptation of George Orwell’s novel, Nineteen Eighty-four for a youth theatre in Birmingham and it was first performed on 10th March 2005 at The Crescent Theatre, Birmingham. I co-directed the production with Rachael Veazey and the cast were aged between 12 and 18.
In 2006 the Croydon Youth Theatre Organisation (CYTO) staged their own production based on my script.
In March 2023, The Crescent Youth Theatre staged a new production directed by Ben Pountney.
